Koryn Surestride

If someone were to say that Koryn is bold, he would be making an understatement. If someone were to say that Koryn is subtle, he would be giving a gross misrepresentation of the truth. If someone were to call Koryn a coward, he would only say it once.

On first glance, Koryn gave the appearance of one who had, perhaps, spent too long living off of the land. His body structure showed his time spent living off of the land. His face showed the effects of the sun and the weather. His arms showed the scars of battle. To hear him speak, however, was a whole other story. He spoke with a sense of presence and purpose behind his words.

The Surestride clan prides itself on its ability to move forward. They were a nomadic group in which Koryn had been raised. Their reputation was a simple one: no challenge was left unanswered. Although some challengers were, perhaps, better left alone... Regardless, they were proud of their history (both the good and the bad - the success and failures). Koryn held one of the most coveted of positions within the clan. He was one of their lorekeepers. He, along with the others, would teach the young among the clan who were still learning their proud history and inspire those who were making their own history. These challenges have come in all forms. A land overrun by orcs, a rival tribe, surviving a harsh environment...

The Surestrider clan had seen its apex years ago. Battles, time, harsh conditions, and any number of losses along the way had left them with only a handful left until a surprise attack from which Koryn was the only survivor. Truth be told, he was believed dead and awoke surrounded by the bodies of what had remained of the only family he had really known.

One would believe that his main goal would be revenge for the death of his clan. Truth be told, they had all accepted the fact that they could die at any time. Death did not scare them. Glory was what mattered. Koryn's goal is to rebuild the glory of the Surestride clan. He is determined that the reputation he and his brothers had fought to maintain would once again find its way to the lips of those with ears to hear and eyes to see.
