Welcome to [Lone Wolf] Rebirth of the Kai

Dawn Sword

A very beautiful young woman with a fierce spirit and great determination.

Seems to be the leader of a group of refugees, composed mainly of women, children and elders.

Has shown to have abilities equivalent to those of a Kai in training - specifically, hints of Weaponskill in the sword, Sixth Sense, and above all Mindshield.

After seeing all the villager she was leading being rendered worse than dead, she attached herself strongly to Sun Snake, openly looking for him as a support in this harsh situation - even going as far as asking him to become her master when he said she might well become a Kai.

Apparently, according to what Sun Snake and Laughing Shark gleamed out of her, she's determined into purging the world from the wicked - going to the point of having sworn a specific oath about it.

Seem to have developed a personal distaste for Laughing Shark, although she's currently expressing it only by being cold toward the Kai Lady. Her attitude toward the Brotherhood magicians is likewise very cool; the reason for this dislike, though, it's known only to her.

She's carrying an old sword that is an heirloom inherited from her father, on whom pommel is carved a symbol of crossed hammers. It isn't special in any way, but she's clearly very attacked to it, for emotional reasons - to the point she refused to change it with a better weapon when Sabre Fox gave her the chance.

While in Toran, she bought a green cloak to look more like a Kai - it was an expensive cloak made of exotic material though, as she spent 60 golden crown on it. She doesn't seem to worry about money, though, as immediately after, she spent a similar sum just to pick up gifts for Sun Snake and Sabre Fox. It is noticeable that her dress, even if now ruined, is of higher quality than normal for a peasant.

Her Mindshield completely developed when in Toran in her effort to avoid Sabre Fox from easily grasping her emotional reactions to his words - although part of the praise for this is to be given to Sun Snake teaching her meditation exercises and how to better look inside herself.

Recently revealed to the group that she was an Acolyte of Vashna and that, intially, her goal was to steal the Dagger of Vashna from the Monastery, in an effort to revive the dreaded Darklord. She also explained that she'd been brought up by the High Priest to be the Maiden of Sacrifice, the one who would have to give her life in payment as part of the ritual, although now she's decided to no longer follow that path.

Alyne also revealed that her father was a Drakkar, likely a former member of the Hammer of Blood and part of the force that had conquered the southern area of Ruanon during the Gnaag Wars, before being rooted out from there by a Brotherhood attack that aimed to leave no survivors. This is apparently one of the reason she distrust Brotherhood magicians, and why she ended up hiding among the Acolytes in the first place - her mother brought her there as a kid.
