Shrike is a short, stocky insectoid alien who wears battle armour under a heavy cloak. A form-fitting helmet completely covers his head. Breathing apparatus connect to the helmet, providing supplemental gasses his species needs. Thick straps hold a combination old-style computer and sensor array device around his neck. His three-fingered hands constantly play across its controls.
