Brief Bio: Most of Maul's pre-vampire history is a mystery that will never be solved. Even the deepest research seems to indicate that 'Maul' just appeared out of the sewers in the 1950's. He quickly aligned himself with the Camarilla and has been clawing his way up the ranks ever since.

Currently a deputy, Maul has a small brood known for their stealthy abilities. When Maul is sent after someone, they usually just disappear without a trace. Recently, however, the Dragon has been distancing Maul from the inner circle, a complete reversal of his earlier stance. Rumors spread that Maul was an ally to John Lee and still favored the Ventrue over the Tremere for control of the city. Maul staunchly denies it but the damage was done and Maul and his brood are being used less and less frequently by the Prince.

On a side note, Maul is known to be a potent user of Animalism, one of the primary sources of information he uses to track down his targets. His nickname came from the fact that he used a charmed bear to take down a Death Hand squad in the 1950's. Given that nobody really knew his name before that, they called him Maul and the name stuck.
