The high back collar features luxurious furs that also make appearances along the hems of the skirt and the collars of her belled sleeves. The entire ensemble is tastefully complimented with golden jewelry inset with polished green gemstones. Her lightfoil is displayed prominently on her belt, and behind her trails a retinue of third order droids.

Dame Helene Decrilla was born in 9,051 (Tapani local calender) to Baron Denaro Decrilla and Baroness Alissa Stanton-Decrilla, a common woman who earned a knighthood prior to meeting her eventual husband. Helene is their third, and youngest child, having two older brothers. As a result, in her youth she was regarded as something of a tomboy, although by all accounts this has served her well in later years as she swiftly becomes a renowned duelist. Dueling is technically illegal in the Republic, but the law finds limited to no enforcement within the sector proper, provided no lasting injuries result or proper etiquette is observed.

Infamously headstrong, a younger Helene went through a long string of tutors and governesses, with the lone exception of a house droid known as "GeeGee" and a petty knight who served as her fencing instructor. Shortly before departing the Tapani Sector, an unknown incident occurred between Dame Decrilla and this petty knight. While his crimes were spoken aloud after his capture, true to Tapani cultural norms, no further mention or record of the accusations is available. Dame Decrilla executed her former instructor with her lightfoil, personally, and then withdrew from the public eye for several months. The identity of this petty knight appears to have been stricken from public record.
