Rook is from south of the Glittering Desert on the edge of reality. He is a member of the Al-Salden tribe.  Life on the edge of reality is harsh. The tribes there are in a constant state of warfare and the fae are always attacking. Life here has always been hard, but it has been one that sharpened Rook’s skills as a survivor and a warrior.

He is governed by a strict code of honor the helps protect the Al-Salden from the corrupting influence of the wyld.  Rook has grown in this harsh environment, and looks down on those that have not been tested as he has. Though Rook likes other people and wants to protect them, he struggles to relate to them. The Code of Al-Salden leaves no room for waste or sympathy. He is fearless in battle, and will stare down any foe. The only things he really fears are large bodies of water, a fear that is, of course, completely natural.

When Luna blessed him with his exaltation, she turned him into an apex predator. With her gifts, Rook happily joined the Swords of Luna and returned to his people to help protect them from the horrors of the wyld. The tide of the Wyld though is never stopping, and though Rook plans to kill every fae, he now sees that he does not have tools to accomplish his goal. He looks north to see if the wet landers have anything that can help him with his endless battle.
