Gideon Passero
Gideon Passero is the youngest professor at the Academy and, despite being 26 years old, has waifish good-looks, shaggy, snow-blonde hair, and large, pale Amber eyes he accidentally accentuates with wire-rim glasses that just makes him cuter even though he was going for smarter. He's rather bumbling, and somewhat clumsy, so will almost always be the professor carrying a large load of books and papers just for every rushing student to bump into and make a mess in the hallway. He's very good-natured, fortunately. If ever there was an Academy professor idolized by the young ladies for his gentleness and beauty, it's definitely Gideon.History: Ambrose Passero is Gideon's uncle, though neither keep company together. Once a year, Ambrose will request tea with Gideon and ask after the young professor's students, activities, research, their family, and such, but that's only to keep up appearances. Ambrose doesn't really care and Gideon understands that; being a good-natured man, he's polite about it and attends the meeting annually.
Gideon's mother, Valeria, is Ambrose's youngest sister. She had an Alice ability and came to the academy, but it left her in middle school and she was sent home. However, since she's from a prominent Alice family, her memory wasn't altered and she's had to live with her failure. Despite having four other children, Gideon is her most precious baby.
The Passero family has a common history with Alice abilities, and most children born in their family have an Alice. However, most of the children's Alices leave them after puberty, sometime when they enter middle school. So, when the children are able to hold onto them, like Ambrose and Gideon (and a few others, like their domineering grandfather), it's considered rare.
Ability: Gideon's Alice is that of Silence. As in, for example, he can absorb noise in a classroom that's become too rowdy, or quiet the theater hall when all the students are gathered. He can also pinpoint it precisely so that he can quiet specific people, objects, events, or even himself.
Secret: Gideon's ability was deemed useful enough that he was scouted by the government. An Alice that could silence a gun, the fall of a body, or even an explosion, was enough that he was enrolled in a special education class in Primary school to become a government agent, where he was forced to learn with the other S-Star and dangerous-category students. However, when Gideon "accidentally" found out that his ability was going to be used that way, he purposely failed all his physical tests by being extremely clumsy. He was deemed too worthless, demoted to a 3-star and kicked out, but he very happily stayed a regular student. He's now the history professor for the primary, secondary, and higher Academy students.
The real secret is that Gideon is actually very agile and dextrous, he's just so used to maintaining his clumsiness that even he forgets that he's pretending sometimes.
