Rosalie

Name: Rosalie D'Essoms no Dahlia
Alias/Nickname:  Thorn of the Rose.
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Province of Birth: Namarre
Details or job description of Rank: She is a fresh-faced Courtesan. Countless hours of hard work and dedication to her arts have finally proven to be beneficial, as she has finally gained the right to claim herself a true Courtesan. Right now she is not a privately based. She lives within the walls of Dahlia House though she can leave at any time.

Appearance- She resembles both of her parents. She has her father's facial structure, mixed in with the sensuality of her mother's features. She got the best traits of both parents, at least in her opinion. It's been a while since she has seen her mother, but her memory serves her well she looks very much like her in many aspects, and she is proud of her physical features.

Her face is long and angular, which is how her father's face was. He had spectacular lines to his face, and she was lucky enough to inherit them. Her jaw is sharp, but the color of her skin, and shape of her mouth give her the soft appearance of being a woman. Her brows just like her father's as well. They are a bit longer than many D'Angeline women like them, and the color of chestnut brown versus the color of the tresses that fall around her face. However; the contrast of shade does not predominantly stand out on her face. One would have to be staring to notice the difference. Her eyes are shaped like wide almonds, and harbor the color of the sea, stirred by stormy weather. Yet another pleasant combination of color combined by her parents. Her mother was known for her bright blue eyes. Her's fall in gray side of the spectrum, but are still enchanting.

She is a lovely girl, and great care is taken in preserving and embellishing her beauty to be put on display for the rest of the D'Angeline people to enjoy, from the finer details of barely there kohl and petal pink lips, she makes sure that her best face is always exposed.

Her skin is the color of pale honey. Her hair is a combination of soft brown that is richly saturated in a hue of fire. Her hair always maintained to the fullest, though more often than not she draws her hair back into sophisticated chignons. It shows gives the appearance of harsh regaling, yet a femininity that can not be denied. Her hair is naturally curly which makes maintaining it, that much more difficult. It is a task that must be done for the most part.

Her taste in clothing leans more towards the Hellene fashion as there is something about the floaty material that makes her appear higher in class. With her features, and how she presents herself it's almost other worldly. When she does don D'Angeline fashion she tends to stick with darker colors.

She has a few splatters of freckles gracing her shoulders, but the Marque upon her back covers most of the darker pigments. The standard Marque of Dahlia House graces her skin. A brilliant yellow flower in the center of her shoulder blades, green vines twisting around the flower, curving delicately down the length of her spine to stop just at the base. Pristine. Perfected.

Height 5'5
Weight: 125
Eye Color: The blue of stirred seas.
Hair color: Chestnut.

Nationality: D'Angeline
Station in life: Minor Noble/Courtesan.
House: Essoms.

Personality: There is much to be said about a person who represents the House of Dahlia. The most common word to surface: Cold. That is not so much the case. For many people who do not understand the house it is simple. They believe that Naamah bestowed herself as a queen with those whom she lain. It is the same for Rosalie. Everything is done with dignity. Her head is always held high.

Someone once said ..."A Queen must make proper decisions and back them with all of their being. They have eminence or supremacy over themselves and what they govern. They must be a steeled emotionally in order to deal with matters that others often will not. They must be gracious about it as well. " Confidence is something that must be seen by those around in order to gain the respect and love of those around her. That is the goal of a Dahlia. They strive for excellence for themselves and their patrons. That is Rosalie's personal goal, to be a high representative of what the House.

Even in her day to day life, in the face of public regardless of the situation she maintains that aura. It is behind closed doors that her guard is let down, and she is left to be utterly human. She has the wishes and desires of all D'Angeline, and takes her service and homage to Naamah very seriously, and has never violated the precept of 'Love as thou wilt.' She loves the people that surround her. Through the good and the bad, even if she does not wear her emotions on her sleeve. It is hard to get past the stiff-necked nature that she possesses, but after a time in her presence when true trust is earned past that of patronage or causal conversation she can be quite warm. She is prim, and proper to the fullest, which at times could be considered overwhelming by those of a more laid back demeanor.

Merits: Confidence. Regal.
Flaws: Too hidden with her emotions. Keeps too much of herself away from the eyes of others. Does not tell people of her past. Serious about her position in life, living life as a Dahlia a bit too well. Considered prickly by others.

IV History: Rosalie was born to Jacqueline no Gentian and Lieutenant Renard D'Essoms. Their story started when Renard grew tired of the nightmares and finally sought out the help of Gentian House. There was an immediate attraction and intense chemistry between them. From the second their eyes met there was something between them. He contracted her for three nights. In those three nights she had helped him conquer his fears and get the the root of his nightmares and offer him proper guidance to get back on the right track of living.

It didn't take long before Renard was a regular patron of Jacqueline's. Making up any excuse to see her, even if he did not desire her talent for the mysticism. With his held her marque was paid off and she became a full fledged Courtsean within a year. The moment that her debt was paid to the house she lit a candle in his name. It took a total of three weeks after the candle session before she found herself to be with his child. They were ecstatic. Finally the life that Renard had desired was fulfilled through the woman he had come to for help in a desperate situation. While they did not marry, they were happy in their lives. Shortly after Rosalie was born. Happy and healthy. Even though Jacqueline was a mother, she still maintained her job as a Courtesan, consulting with people who had problems or questions, just like Renard, though at the end of the night she was back by his side.

Rosalie grew up in a happy environment. Doted upon by both parents and the servants within the Manor D'Essoms. She seemed particularly attached to her father and that became apparent as soon as she was old enough to talk. The words she would use. How she carried herself reflected greatly on him, as opposed to her mother who always seemed lost in a dream realm. Rosalie never displayed any talent for Gentian House.

By the age of five both Renard and Jacqueline seemed curious about her nature. She seemed to present herself with the utmost proper style. Sitting straight, nodding her head. She was bright this girl, and it became apparent through Jacqueline's own predictions that their daughter would become a Servant of Naamah herself. That is when they began the task of finding out which house would be suitable for such an odd little girl. After a few years of debate, two to be exact they placed her in Camellia House thinking she would be a wonderful candidate. They strove for perfection, but for some reason Rosalie never seemed to fit in with the other children. After seven months of being a fosterling there, it was decided between the Dowaynes of Dahlia and Camellia that she belonged in the former rather than the latter. Thus her life as a Dahlia began.

Through all the training and learning, she excelled. It wasn't hard as it seemed within her nature to be there. She thrived, still knowing her parents and making companions with the others within the Night Court House. It was a year later that things took a turn for the worst. Jacqueline grew heavy with child again. This time she was lethargic, and it wasn't due to her abilities. The Balm House in which Jacqueline frequented for check ups assured everyone that she was in good health, as was the babe. When it came time for the birth, the baby breached, and the cord wrapped around it's neck. The child and the mother lost. It was a heavy blow for Rosalie to lose her mother. It was the first time that anyone had seen the child publicly cry. It was the last time as well.

As much as she loved her father, she put a distance between them as she grew into her teen years. Determined to do her best to honor both Naamah and her Mother in the House she had been selected for. Eventually she blossomed into a young woman, determined and strong willed. Her debut came, in which went very well. She was purchased by the Master of the Hunt, which was a great honor for her virgin price. A decent sum of money was offered for her, and she was well on her way to creating that Marque that currently graces her spine. The Master of the Hunt was so thrilled with her services that he made sure adequate patronage came her way. It remained like that up until her marque was completed. Now she is released out into the world a new Courtesan.

At this point however; her father is a stranger, and she is on a different path. It is unknown if they will, or can connect again, or how he will react seeing her looking so much like her mother...
