The Jester or "Jack" is a NEMESIS. In order for a player to survive, he must be countered (repeatedly), neutralized or destroyed.

The Jester is an otherworldly being, full of murderous mirth. Hearing the screams of his victims brings him joy, and acquiring their pretty, pretty eyes brings him peace. If you want your organs intact, answer his riddles correctly or suffer the price.

What is known, based on facts gleaned from villagers and other NPCs:

- He wears the elaborate costume of a Jester, but he should not be taken lightly.
- He can appear or disappear at a whim.
- He juggles daggers, and goes for the eyes first, or last, if he's saving them.
- He likes games; riddles being the favorite.
- He has no qualms about killing anyone, to include men, women, or children.
- He has been known to take the eyes only and leave the victim alive. Screaming, but alive.
