Ricote Felix appears to be a young man not yet grown just about at the end of his apprenticeship. He is medium height and light skinned with wavy brown hair. His behavior is youthful and enthusiastic. He has a soft glow about him marking him as a person from the Sunset Isles. He shows enthusiasm and moves quickly often bumping into things or knocking things over. He has an attractive quality that makes him easy to forgive and he is very easy to apologize. Ricote has no wealth yet, clearly a commoner though he is neat, brilliant and likely on his way.

Ricote is not 17 years old as he appears but mid fifties or more, he is indeed from the Light Domain but was probably lost or stolen as a babe for he grew up among the heathens in Parack. He was a Pirate for years and he's a great sailor and knows all things nautical. Something happened and he was banished from the pirates maybe he saved an imperial girl from "a fate worse than death" no he was actually the sole survivor of a terrible wreck that took all of his fortune no he was actually banished for causing the terrible wreck, he's so clumsy and some unlucky misfortune or attempt to channel energy destroyed everything and they kicked him out. No he left destitute and alone because he was struck with this idea he could reach the Fey and help some farmers get their crops back - it took him 20 years but he became a Landkeeper.
He was a Landkeeper - still is and is very good at it, a natural at finding difficulties and working things out with the Fey - he lived in Denmarik doing this, had a family, his wife and he broke up - maybe because he stayed so young.
He gets letters from his daughter and they visit every year or so. She is always traveling on adventures and must be rich.
He works for Cirostis who has adopted him to keep a shop and find collectibles. He owes Cirostis for saving him somehow, he and Cirostis must be close friends or maybe lovers. No way they are business associates. Cirostis just likes having a Light domain person hanging around, it makes him seem wealthy and honest. Ricote barely makes any profit in his shop, how can he? he's always giving things and advice for free. He's losing money because he's too honest. He is most fair and will tell you up front what he is willing to pay and what he will sell your item for, even how long it will take. You always know where you stand with Ricote, he never lies or cheats. He must be so good at cheating we just can't tell.
He's just adorable everyone likes Ricote, he's like a sweet innocent kid.

Ricote is playful often joking and looking for laughs, he enjoys everyone asking lots of questions and getting people to talk about themselves. His easy demeanor and childish appearance make him easy to talk to. If you do get hims talking he will go on and on about the energies of Atheria and the wonder of the different locations. He says all energy is one in the Dragon and gets quite spiritual quoting ancient masters and texts he knows everything - there is not a subject he cant debate into the night. He has a group of friends that do this from time to time, making a little party of some study of esoteric magic and wonder. Ricote leads them though he is but a common shopkeeper and they are priests and wizards of renown. Knowledge and understanding the intricacies of the universe is Ricote's passion. He has a sub interest in charms talismans and relics. He can repair and modify them and tell you what you have with just a modicum of tinkering with it. He can tell you stories about who first made this or that kind of item and how the recipe spread in ancient history and the first books and stories that mention it.

The characters place of birth, how he or she acquired or discovered his or her talents and skills, education or teachers, major turning points in the characters life - whether triumphs, discoveries, or tragedies - portents or omens and prophecies involving you (If any), previous jobs, old companions (and why youre no longer with them), your personal secrets or guilts, and where you were raised all go here.

Born, 64 or 65 years ago, no record - first reported as an infant to parent Joaqim and Helena Felix, Prospectors and owners of the Lazy Dancer, their ship and most-time home. There is a docking area in the rocky hills of Parack where the family kept a house as well, they stayed there seasonally.
He is youngest of 7 children 4 boys and 3 girls 3 of whom are grown and living, 2 died young and 2 recently passed leaving children and grandchildren of their own his parent's have passed away. He is known to his family as a quirky uncle - there is another child of light in his family a niece and she is an accomplished musician.
He stopped sailing as a profession 40 or more years ago, there was a series of terrible calamities that destroyed the Lazy Dancer and another ship. There were many survivors who credit Ricote for helping save people but they will not say what caused the catastrophe.
Apprenticed to Gattica Smoon in Denmarik, Ricote became a well known landkeeper. He married Chauntel and they had Ana. There are many stories of ordinary family in dimensions and occasional adventures of them until Ana started her own career and Ricote and Chauntel moved apart.
Works for Cirostis and keeps a shop - occasionally travels to find things buy sell and support the shop.
He has a club of community experts he spends his evenings with when he is not out running with the youth or playing sports. He plays on a community sports league and is an excellent midfielder.
