Sweyne became an acolyte to the church of St. Cuthbert shortly after his 13th birthday, intending to become a simple holy man, one day tending to a flock of his own.

In time, however, he grew physically powerful, and more pious, and realized that his calling was to serve as a champion, spreading the word of St. Cuthbert by fighting evil in his name. Sweyne typically travels alone, but realizes that more powerful evil forces require the help of others (who may one day themselves be converted to serve St. Cuthbert directly).

Tall, blonde and handsome, Sweyne realizes that his piousness can be off putting or intimidating to some, and he tries hard to utilize his natural leadership skills to prove that he's not just another holy windbag, but a man of action.
