Tom is 45 yr old charter fishing captain out of the east coast of florida, was traveling with his 5 year old grand-daughter and wife on a long over due 2nd honeymoon. Grandmother was lost in the attack. He grew up in Orlando, learned to hunt from his father in the Ocala National Forest and in other wild life management areas in the state. Decent shot, but by no means military grade. Near sited so blind long distance without his glasses. Grand-daughter was put in their custody when the mother abandoned her to run off with her boyfriend in Georgia.

A former US Navy diver, Tom knows boating and sailing, basic game tracks and how to hunt for food and camp. By no means a survivalist, but smart enough to know how to start a fire, boil and sanatize food for consumption, etc. He has a salvage diving ticket and has performed underwater repairs on small craft, warships and offshore oil platforms.

After the USA completely collapsed into complete insanity of clashing factions and homicidal madman warlords, Tom sailed across the Atlantic with his grand-daughter Cecily. Currently acting as Master of the Fleet, supervising the maintenance and use of all the community's water craft.
