Born in Norway in 1970, Espen Ivar Lyngstad immigrated to the UK in 2000. He worked as an telecommunications technician for a petrochemical company in the North Seas oilfields until 2011.

In the late 80's "Espe" served his national conscription service in the Norwegian Home Guard.

Espen married in 1996 but divorced in 2014. Sadly, he lost his entire family: a ex-wife and four children (all girls, two of them twins) during the nightmare of the rise of the infected.
