The city-state of Bex is both the city and the name of the republic, seen as being one and the same.

Bexans, those from Bex, are renowned engineers, as well as adept traders, skilled at encouraging trade to flow into the city.

Bex is also known as the City of Guilds, with the city having a vast number of guilds within.

There are twelve guilds which are classed as Great Guild, and a representative from each form a council to oversee Bex.

It is believed that there are over 100 guilds within Bex, of varying power and renown.

The head of the Merchants Guild is classified as the ruler of Bex, representing the head of the Great Guild Council, leading decisions and policies. This is currently Great Guild Councillor Elumash-Gar-Mu.
