Appearance: For a man who thinks corduroy blazers are fashionable, Will is surprisingly good-looking. He has a little more meat on his bones than he would like, but moving back to Michigan has helped Will finally start a workout and stick with it - a Midwestern diet and an increased interest in the outdoors have motivated him to finally hit the gym. So while he might seem a little soft, at least at first glance, he's smuggling guns under his (vintage, slightly hipster-y) shirts.

Most attention is focused on Will's hair, anyway. Sure, he has broad, open features and a warm smile, but his hair is thick and dark as blackstrap molasses, and falls effortlessly into place when worn down, framing his face, or trails down his back in a thick braid. Will thanks his parents for the genes that gave him that hair, because if it was the least bit unruly he probably would have cut it off. Otherwise he seems pretty unremarkable. He probably would clean up well, and he is attractive enough to be the "cute" professor in the Paranormal Studies department, but if one walked past him on the street he probably wouldn't draw the eye unless one was already predisposed toward men like him.

Basic Personality: Will is a man prone to pursuing his interests with enthusiasm. Whether it's his devotion to the college radio station, his interest in the paranormal world and his own heritage, or even simpler pleasures such as skiing and cooking, he never does anything halfway. Of course this does mean that Will can (and often does) go overboard, immersing himself too deeply or taking on more than is healthy or wise, but Will counts that as a virtue. Unfortunately, Will also has a tendency toward naivete, and can be a little goofy. He's too willing to see the good in others, which may be his eventual undoing...

Sex and sexuality: Will enjoys sex with men and women, human and otherwise, in a variety of different ways. It all depends on the connection.

Merits: Open-minded, enthusiastic, intelligent. A native rural Michigander.

Flaws: Has a tendency to be obsessive. Addictive personality. Fairly dorky.

Character Motivations/Goals: To gain tenure, to make a home of Marquette, and to find a place as an ambassador between the supernatural and mundane communities.

Player Motivations/Goals: Fun, naturally. :D

History, in part:

William Charbonneau - Will to most - is a professor entering his second year at NMU in the new Paranormal Studies department. Although most recently from New York City, Will actually hails from just outside Petoskey, MI, only a short 200 miles or so south and east.

Though Will actually doesn't talk about himself all that much, which can be a bit of a shocker coming from a man as loquacious as he tends to be, it's not hard to determine where he went to school (first Western Michigan University, then New York University for graduate level studies), what he does to unwind (he's listed as an on-air announcer for WNMU-FM, and hosts a weekly programs dedicated to jazz and blues respectively), and his tribal membership (the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians). And, of course, work: he's a professor in the small Preternatural Studies department, one that seems to be growing in popularity and usefulness. At least, before everything started going to hell in Marquette...

Those so inclined could probably also dig up more information about Will via his online presence on other sites. A fondness for corduroy. Something murky and long past involving a dead brother. A neglected Facebook page used mostly for games. And other profiles focused more on his private predilections, though he isn't so gauche as to make those easily Googleable.
