Giles Thistleworth (Deceased)

There are many legends surrounding Sir Giles Thisteworth and his trusty canine companion, Shep.  A local hero, successful gambler, and enviable lady's man, Sir Giles is known as The People's Champion, and is held in a sort of reverent wonder akin to that felt for Robin Hood (a mythical figure popular among children).

Though most people in the Western Continent have heard at least a few tales about Sir Giles, very few have actually encountered him.  His stories are packed with improbable feats of derring-do, including snatching arrows from the air with his eyes closed, running up sheer walls, leaping from the ground to a third-floor window, and the uncanny ability to talk to animals -- usually dogs.

Most adults ascribe these to be gross exaggerations, but those who claim to have met the man say that, if anything, the tales downplay his actual abilities.  They will further state that no pen could truly paint an accurate portrait of the radiant glory that is Sir Giles Thistleworth.

It is well known that the title of "Sir" is honorary, bestowed upon him by the adoring public and the disenfranchised, and used by Giles himself mostly because of how much it annoys the traditional aristocracy.

Sir Giles Thistleworth has only entered the public eye in the last decade.  His rise to fame has been meteoric, and has raised more than a few eyebrows throughout the Empire.  Nobody knows where he's from or where he lives, and stories of his sightings span areas throughout the Empire, from coast to coast.
