Science Officer Lieutenant, junior grade Sorvok, son of Tovek is a 25 year old male Vulcan born on the planet Vulcan in the city of ShiKahr but spent most of his childhood being raised aboard the Vulcan Science Academy science vessel Ti'Var.  Sorvok's mother is the famous xenobiology  & evolutionary geneticist Dr. T'Pira, who created a genetic survey database of Federation races at the behest of the UFP.  Sorvok's father is the xenoarchaeologist Dr. Tovek who mysteriously disappeared during an archaeological dig on a "dead world" near the Romulan Neutral Zone when Sorvok was 15 years old.

Sorvok stands 6 ft. 2 in. and weighs 166 lbs. with a slim, wiry build.  He has short cut black hair and dark green eyes with the traditional pointed ears and copper blooded tinged olive complexion of a Vulcan.  Sorvok is the oldest child (his younger sister T'Liri was raised by her grandparents back on Vulcan)  and he did not associate with many people his own age while growing up.  He spent much of his childhood alternating between reading/studying and assisting his mother in the laboratory.  Sorvok has fully embraced his Vulcan heritage and has taken to immersing himself in traditional Vulcan culture (often wearing a Vulcan Science Academy IDIC pin along with his Starfleet insignia).  Sorvok managed to be accepted into Starfleet Academy at an early age (passing his exams with high marks on his first try).

Lt. jg. Sorvok has pursued coursework in Science with a secondary focus on Security.  Sorvok has fully embraced the traditional Vulcan philosophy of pure logic, Kolinahr.  Sorvok has an insatiable curiosity and desire to learn new things, he often views new situations and meeting new people/races as an ideal opportunity to study and enhance his knowledge.
