Kyle is an archaeologist and historian, teaching at Kent State U in Ohio until
the Stargate Command came enquiring...

His interests are wide-ranging and sometimes a bit off-the-wall, he'd be as happy trying to find Atlantis or Camelot as digging on more 'acceptable' archaeological sites... and nearly derailed his own doctorate with a side track of a strange dig of a remote yet accurately Egyptian burial which (until his professor had a quiet word in his ear) he said was actually Moses... who after all, was raised as an Egyptian prince even if he did lead the Israelites back to the Promised Land! He settled down and presented his find as an ambassador who had died on a mission instead, and got his doctorate, but finding a university position proved hard, so he's quietly building up a body of respectable work, mostly excavating Indian reservations,  and biding his time... but still gets sidetracked with exotic relics and theories upon occasion. Outside of work he likes bluegrass and plays a mean banjo!

His undergraduate work was done at the University of Phoenix, and the PhD at Cornell University.
