Runt

Runt is a street rat/urchin that most would guess as being between five and six years old.  He stands no more than forty inches tall bare foot barefoot, which he is.  He weighs in at about thirty lbs. including grime.  He has long, unkempt brown hair and dark brown eyes.  His skin is currently tanned (under the grime), as appropriate for someone who spends the vast majority of the day outdoors.  While he is grimey, he is not filthy and caked with dirt (most of the time).  It would appear that he does try to wash himself, just not too successfully.  The same can apply to his garb.  He wears a "tunic" of sackcloth (threadbare and ragged) that probably held vegetables in the not too distant past.  His breeches (also sackcloth) are are worn, ragged, and too large with a short length of frayed rope keeping them up.  He has a soft, dark green cap more sized for a young adolescent than a child, with several holes in it and well stained (old blood perhaps), either perched on his head or upside down on the ground in front of him for charitable passers-by to give alms.  He has an adult's half-length blue cloak (full length on him of course), which was at one time good quality but now has several crudely repaired gashes with stains (blood?) around them and the trim obviously rudely cut off.  As mentioned above he is barefoot.

He is practically never without his flute.  He is usually carrying a broken off section of a broom stick almost as tall as he is, a half size flannel blanket (worn), a partially filled wine skin, and a moderate sized old linen bag with unknown items in it.
