DESCRIPTION
Slim and ruggedly handsome, Elwood appears taller than he actually is.  He wears a black tabbard over his plate armor, with a seven-pointed tin star badge on the chest.  He carries a flail at his belt, and a shield emblazoned with the same seven-pointed star device.  He wears a strange, wide-brimmed hat with a black velvet band on his head.

 BACKGROUND
Born and raised in a small town in Thyatis, young Elwood often ran afoul of the law.  While serving time in a jail cell one evening, he received The Vision.  Murlynd, Immortal Patron of Magic Devices, visited him in a waking dream, warning him of an impending magical catastrophe.  Elwood took up the cause of Murlynd.
When he was released from prison, he took a vow never to do evil again.  He then set out to learn more of this coming apocalypse and how it may be stopped.
