Born in KC Missouri to Baptist parents, Amanda was brought up in the faith and love of Jesus Christ.
After High School she attended an all girls school on the West Coast and did her graduate studies at Texas A&M. She was granted an internship under her mentor Professor Victor Subenz in Genomic Mapping and sequencing. Her work with Stubenz gave her the expertise to join Project Stargate II. This is where she met Chad Price for the first time. Chad was CIA liaison from the Dept of Homeland Security's Clandestine Affairs Unit. They dated briefly but broke up when the prospect of a long distance relationship frightened them both.
She was hired by the The SER Foundation for her innovative approach to genetic sequencing.
Her employment was terminated when the research hit a dead end and SER returned to Brazil.
She was recruited by Harold Borgia for his PROJECT NIGHTSHADE endeavors in international waters.
On PROJECT NIGHTSHADE she was reacquainted with Chad Price. The two decided to remain friends, although a certain amount of sexual tension seems to exist between the two of them, they are not inclined to act upon it.
In college, Amanda questioned her faith. She is an agnostic and has moderate to liberal political leanings.

[Spoiler Alert:] After discovering the full ramifications of PROJECT NIGHTSHADE Amanda quits by helping Anthony Daniels escape from the Borgia fleet.
She returns to the US where she changes her name and identity (thanks to Danielss hacker contacts). She gets a job with Monsanto working to develop ever more virulent and pesticide resistant crops.
All the while she continues her work on a retrovirus capable of producing psychic abilities in compatible humans.
Amanda hides her finished virus in the wheat grain and spreads it around the globe. Shortly afterward she hides or destroys her research.
