Personality: Tends to keep to herself, has a hard time inserting herself into the mix, until comfortable or necessary.  Will help out where able no matter what as she learned a long time ago, you have to earn your keep.  Observant, logical, almost cold, underneath, a warm heart prone to day dream, or at least she used to before all this.  Loves music, often humming to herself, everything from Gershwin to Queen and sometimes she will just start dancing but only when she thinks no one else is around. Both secretive and an open book, depending on her mood and who she's with at the time.

Back-Story: Tessa's family immigrated to the US when she was ten years old. Life in the US started out normal enough, jobs and a cramped two bedroom apartment in Brooklyn.

Times were tough.  They had come to the US to for a fresh start and then it got worse.  And then it went to hell.
