Basic Personality:  Beneath the bulky muscles, furrowed brows and stern voice, Declan Booker is a simple man. His values are black and white as he is secure in what he believes is right. Booker is the protector in everything he does; he is extremely intuitive about people and concerned for their feelings.

Booker has a well-developed value system that he strictly adheres to; one that fits side by side with a lot of the values that the Bureau holds. He is well-respected for his perseverance in doing the right thing and is almost always expected to do the right thing. Booker is a trusted member of the Bureau. He can always be counted on to make the right choice -with the interest of those involved kept in mind.

Booker is an altruist who takes his responsibility to help and to do the right thing seriously. When it comes to friends and family, Booker is both dangerously protective and fiercely loyal.

History:  Booker attended the University of Miami, earning his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice before joining the Miami-Dade County Police Department.  In his first few years in uniform, Booker paid a lot of dues with his partner Lewis.  Whilst writing citations on Biscayne Boulevard, Lewis was on the driver's side when a black truck came speeding toward them and clipped him.  The impact was the cause of death.

Finding himself without a partner, Booker spoke to his Lieutenant about branching out into other areas of law enforcement.  He was soon transferred to Vice, where he learned about going undercover and the ins and outs of drug trafficking.

Although working in Vice was exciting, Booker was looking for something more.  He enrolled in S.W.A.T. field training and passed the exam, then transferred to the Miami-Dade Special Patrol Bureau, Tactical Operations - Special Response Team.  This was Miami-Dade's version of S.W.A.T.

Almost immediately, Booker felt at home in the Bureau.  He continued to train and worked his way up to Sergeant, and is currently second in command of his unit.

At this time, Booker is currently making his way from Miami to Durham, NC to hopefully meet up with someone he'd met on Tinder and had been talking to for the last few months...trying to not thing the worst.
