The Baroness's history goes back about 20 years. Before that, there's just the usual 'born here, raised there, went to school somewhere'. Apparently, she wasn't important enough in her younger days for anyone to take note of her activities.

She first comes to light at a celebrity party as someone's date. After that, she showed up at a lot of parties, gaining a reputation as a 'party girl'. She was still flying mostly under the radar at that point, more as set decoration that anyone for people to take notice of.

Then there was 'The Incident'. Six drug-hyped gangers decided to kidnap her date for ransom. They didn't seem to care how many others got hurt in the process. There was no indication prior to this that Twyla was along as a bodyguard, but when the would-be kidnappers showed up, shot a civilian for no apparent reason, and threatened her date, she went 'ballistic'.

Feigning the 'sweet young thing' imagine, she got close enough to one of the kidnappers to take him out and take away his gun. She then promptly shot the other five, killing only the leader who'd shot (and killed) the civilian.

While this incident was reported to death over the next 6 months, and examined from a hundred different perspectives, she made light of it, claiming it was just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time... and being lucky. After all, they were hyped up on drugs.

A year later, she joined the Imperial Navy due to a scholarship offered to her as a reward for her brave and heroic 'incident'. She never seemed to make a splash in the navy, just slowly plodding along with the occasional promotion.

About 10 years ago, her military career seems to have stalled, being assigned to one obscure outpost after another, finally winding up her on Outpost.
