Name: Zastryal (transliterated from the Russian word "stuck")
Breed/Tribe/Auspice: Lupus; Black Fury; Ragabash
Brief background: Zas was born to wolves across the Pripyat River from Chernobyl, Ukraine. She was born in November of 1985 as an unplanned pregnancy of her mother, Zub, or "fog." After the explosion, the taint was readily apparent on her skin and coat with brilliant white discoloration spotting her already pale and sickly fur. As a result, a tumor has formed on the left side of her neck. Though bloated, it doesn't seem to be getting any larger, but the discomfort never departs.

Zas has since left the north to pursue Gaia's call. She often speaks to and of the spirits, maintaining that they are often in agreement with her assertions. For instance: she and Pegasus have had many long-winded talks concerning the damn patriarchy and covert/overt male dominance bullshit. And Frog is fed up with being called an amphibian. He's just a fish that likes to straddle the fence.

At her home Sept, Zas developed the patience and knowledge for growing plants and farming vegetables. The tainted land still produced under her paws, with a little nourishing. She found hope in that.
