Captain McLaughlin is a grizzled, old retired pirate who lives in the large building just up the street from Vendor's Row. Each vendor, along the 30 stalls on Vendor's Row, pays 5G in rent per month to Captain McLaughlin. He can usually be found patrolling the Row, looking for thieves and other troublemakers to thrash with his stout club. He is a popular man in this part of town, and can usually count on some of the burlier inhabitants to come to his aid if he gets in over his head.
