Donom L'Abbat was born and raised in Shield, the war has been long and hard on his family.  Most of his family have served and died in the same local regiment in the war, and only a handful remain. Tapped at an early age for military service due to his strength and size.  He was promoted to corporal during basic training, but was assigned to a staff position in a headquarters unit.  He is big, strong, and surprisingly agile.  He was trained to specialize in dual wielding by his uncle who was an officer in the 2nd Borderlands Combat Infantry.  His primary weapons are two long swords, but he is proficient in longbow and daggers.  While he will follow orders, he is not concerned with grand strategy and tends to focus on the immediate task at hand. He knows that if he survives he will need to decide if his future is to be an officer like his uncle or to remain a soldier.
