Average height and build, Jorge Martinez looks far more like a Detroit city cop than he does a Knight of the First Estate.  He has a certain swagger to his step that only comes from long years spent exercising authority, and a contempt for those of lesser status he can only barely contain.  This is likely because before he was turned, Mr. Martinez was a member of Auto City's boys in blue, starting as a beat cop and then working seven years in homicide in the 1980s.  While the rest of his unit got fat and old, Martinez never seemed touched by the years and the stress.  His secret to keeping his youthful good looks and trim build?  The steady diet of Vitae his Master's in the First Estate provided him, a reward for keeping homicide off the Primogen's back and the Masquerade squeaky clean.  Jorge was eventually granted the full Embrace in the early 90s, where he quickly found a calling as a Soldier.

He is almost never seen without his most prized possession, a red tailed hawk named Carlos.  From a distance, Carlos might look like a regular member of his breed, but that façade quickly collapses as one gets closer.  The bird is twice the size of a normal hawk, with razor sharp talons and glinting red eyes possessing a fierce and unholy intelligence.  the creature is Martinez's ghoul, an undying familiar razed from the grave to serve his eternal master, and the two are virtually inseparable.
