Dvarapala

Few but the Eldest among the Circle of the Crone within Detroit remember that the stone faced Temple Guardian known as the Dvarpala has ever born any other name.  When asked, she will share that her true name is in fact Yen Hoàng, but few have ever bothered to ask.  While she doesn't wield a  gadha mace, the stout and broad shouldered Daeva wears the name of South East Asia's fearsome gate guardians well.  The Dvarapala was one of the first generation of Vietnamese Acolytes to flee the disastrous Carthian social experiment that was Hanoi, and was rumored to have forced a Blood Priestess so old her blood was thick when Pembe was still young into Topor in order extricate her from the country.  Not with strength or guile, though she possesses both of these in spades, but with sheer stubborn pigheadedness and persistence.

The leader of Detroit's Temple Guardians, the Dvarapala is thick and broad of limb, though like many of the Vietnamese immigrants to the city her height was limited by malnutrition when she still walked under the sun.  She wears simple street clothes, having adapted to the urban jungle that is her new chosen home.  Occasionally she has been spotted with a firearm, but it general she prefers to fight with her fangs and fists, and is known to have a fierce love for sparring.  She is warm and bubbly with those of her own Covenant, but clams up when outsiders are around, her gruff features providing her with the perfect poker face.
