A near stereotype is the best way to describe, Junko. Out from the boot heel of her pants and teachers,she's free to be the Yankee she always wanted to be. Her dyed and golden blonde shamelessly clashes with the cherry red of her eyes and skin, and the bone white of the single large horn that juts from her forehead.. Her clothing choices are caught between an exaggeration of American trends and over indulgence in her home country's culture. Whenever and where ever possible, she dresses in tiger stripes.

PROFILE:
Like some Shonen or Seinen action hero made manifest the oni is always quick with with a sneer and a treat of violence. Most such threats go unfulfilled thought as her ever persistent voice of minder, Bishamon-dono or more simply Tono, reels the fiery woman in whenever she starts thinking with her fists. Despite her outward brutishness, she is quite well read, possessing a great deal of religious, literary and spiritual knowledge.

BACKGROUND:
Born to a family steeped in the long standing tradition Oni traditions of faith, piety and a willingness to protect humanity, Junko was destined to be a problem child. As with so many who grow up under preachers and clergymen, the young Junko never saw eye to eye with her priestly father. She was swept up with the rising tide of independence, Westernization and general counter-culture that was ever present in modern Japan even after the coming of the six world. Her father wanted her to study Nichiren and she wanted the latest idol group's album. It was in high school, when she found the gall to start dyeing her hair, that her parents decided to "reform" their wayward daughter. And so, at the ripe age of fifteen, Junko Watanabe was handed over to the resurgent Yamabishi of Niigata; the men whose orders had once been in the service of the Dragon of Echigo, Uesugi Kenshin.
