Ka-Atanrik Ghera

Kavacha also known as the Kavachian Hegemony or the Kavachian League is a territorial polity along the eastern border of the Federation. Initially a small power block of independent city states that were subjugated by the Raksha Koan, the country became more unified by the progressive thinking of the 14th Ka-Atanrik Ghera and with acceptance into the Federation.

Kavacha covers roughly 983,945 km2 stretching from the Ny'ekundu Gulf to most of the southern portion of the Kuru Vuoristo Mountains. However due to a history of warfare the borders were often in a constant state of flux and because of Kavacha's relatively small population [Federal Census 38 NS Estimated: 31,494,504] most of this territory is claimed by tradition and not settlement. Kavacha can be broadly divided into three distinct areas, the mountainous north, the foothills and valleys and the arid plains to the south. Most of the countries population live within the fortified mountain strongholds and scattered rural settlements in the north of the country although in recent years settlements in the southern plains, where the caste system is less prevalent, have seen a boom in growth.

The Ka-Atanrik Ghera, roughly translating as "he who leads the inner circle", is the spiritual and political head of the Raksha Koan and the de facto leader of the Kavachian League since it's formation. The term Ghera is often used as an informal term of endearment amongst the Raksha Koan being taken to mean "the leader" although it has become common usage in wider society. It is both a name and a title with the candidate forgoing their former identity and becoming the living embodiment of Raksha Koan cultural and religious ideals. Prospective Ka-Atanrik Ghera are chosen from amongst the Guardian Council, the group of military and religious leaders at the top of the caste system, although some rise from obscurity through ancient prophecies with some believing in the theory of reincarnation. Prospective candidates must first receive the majority support of the senior clerics, which may in itself lead to competing claims and brutal factional infighting, before challenging the incumbent for the position. In the case of an ageing leader this is merely a ceremonial challenge although in the case of an incompetent or corrupt ruler the challenge may have dire consequences.

The Kaich Besin Recycling Plants. A system of traditional moisture traps based in the cool mountain valleys combined with more modern water reclamation techniques. Provides a source of drinking water and irrigation for the communities in the arid south east of Kavachian territory whilst also pumping treated sewage water to the newly built Laghu Dher Fission Power Station for cooling the reactor.

Rasad Transport Hub, situated in the southern city of Mukt Shahar Sietch on the Ny'ekundu coast, providing Kavacha with vital maritime access through it's seaport and connecting inland through Buna to the Federal infrastructure via roadtrain and civil transport networks.

The Suvidha Testing Grounds, a research and development centre concerned with military and defence hardware. Designed around the Federal facilities at Fort Mkobe. Set amongst the remote mountainous canyons in the North West of Kavachian territory, away from the major population centres and prying eyes...

The Fedayeen, veterans of the Raksha Koan forces that fought in the wars of unification and reorganised as part of the terms of The Kavacha Hegemony's entry into the Federation.
