Norwegian born, Karl worked on various mining and construction sites until 2004, when he was in his mid twenties, he was drafted into military service. Twelve months in and he applied and was accepted into the Krigsskolen (Military Academy) where he studied engineering and gained considerable skill and experience with all forms of military construction and demolitions.

Upon graduation he was assigned to the Marinejegerkommandoen (Norway's version of Rangers/Special Forces/Seals), where his engineering skills were put to good use.

In 2013 the Marinejegerkommandoen and Forsvarets Spesialkommando were combined into the Norwegian Armed Forces Special Operations Forces. During this period his role evolved to involve more marine elements than before.

In 2020 at the rank of Kapteinloytnant (OF-2) Karl was discharged from the AFSOF during the latest round of government cutbacks.

He is currently 45 years of age and lives in Mathopen, Norway, in a nice little house overlooking the water. Physically he is a solid 96 kgs of muscle and bad intentions, although age has started to take it's toll slightly. He speaks passable if accented English as well as his native Norwegian.
