Micheal is a former Canadian Army combat medic (Airborne Qualified).  He served for over a decade until he decided to leave the military and work as a paramedic.  He has deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan as well as a UN peacekeeping stint to the Balkans.

Michael is somewhat reserved and is content to let others do the talking, but will quickly assert himself if he believes that things are going bad.  He prides himself on his professional competence is annoyed to see sloppy work from his team mates.
