From youth, Fadeyka grew up on a state farm in the southern Ukraine. His early life consisted of farming, and what little free time he had was spent swimming in the Dnieper river. As such, he has little formal education, but is smarter than people think. He rarely lets on what he knows.

Upon turning 18, he enlisted in the Soviet military for his obligatory service and due to his hardiness he was selected into the Raydoviki. Relishing the challenge that it provided, he aimed for an even higher goal... to join Spetsnaz.

Soon he achieved his desire and spent over a decade as a Spetsnaz soldier, although his lack of education hurt his promotion chances. The defining moment in his life came when he and an officer got into a disagreement and he soon found himself being transferred to the motor pool as a mechanic. While this irated him, he still finished out his career and upon leaving, being disenchanted with the Soviet system, decided to sell his talents on the global market.
