Rasima Elkadi

Rasima is an attractive young woman with mocha-colored skin and black hair that she typically has tied up in a bun and stuffed out of the way beneath an olive-drab hat. Sometimes, she'll let it flow out in a long ponytail. She stands a few inches past five and a half feet in height, built slender and lithe, and kept that way with her time in the BDC. Almost never found without a broad smile or some kind of smirk on her face, she's a bright and chipper woman.  Long-since grown accustomed to the privations of service on the Delta Teams, small things give her immense pleasure and satisfaction, the rewards of returning to a life closer to that of a civilian. Her good spirits are merely extensions from a core nature built around a sense of wonder: Rasima loves to explore and to discover, and remains perpetually in a state of delight and fascination. She dresses simply, economically. Everything about her attire is secondary, an afterthought. She doesn't wear makeup, and she doesn't wear dresses. She is, however, often found smoking a cigarette or drinking a cup of coffee... or perhaps something a little stronger.

Beyond her cheer, Rasima does have some edge. Having grown up around her uncle's mechanic shop and then having spent the past half-decade or so in the Delta Teams, Rasima is a woman with a gift for banter, sarcasm and snark. Hardly mean-spirited, she's simply capable of firing back as the situation requires. Good fun, good way to help build a sense of team.

Rasima is an expert in Dimensional Sciences and energy, with notable expertise in various sorts of technology. She is a noted weaponsmith and particularly adept at managing the power and weapon systems of the various ships on which she's served, as well as their Anthropic Field generators. An engineer, she is also a specialist in subdimension exploration, well-versed in Reality Deviant data and a field medic.

Rasima's life is not all warmth and good cheer, of course. There are times when remaining in her vicinity can be unsettling for some. Having survived some fairly unpleasant experiences, she has not been left untouched by the universe. Lights around her have a tendency to flicker and fail as her mood sours. Shadows pool and the wind picks up, carrying with it the faintest hint of tortured voices. And of course, for a woman so well-settled and sorted, she does not enjoy the darkness at all. As it approaches, Rasima will invariably attempt to fend off its encroaching reach unless the darkness is necessary for stealth, and she becomes hypervigilant as the light fades.

In the darkness, after all, lurk the worst horrors the multiverse has to offer. This, she knows all too well from personal experience...
