Personality:  Katarina (Kat if you're friendly, Rina if you're closer, Kitty Kat if you're tired of living) is cheerful and happy- but then again, that much is ingrained into her from working at the cafe her parents own and run...  unless she's dueling, in which case she tries to be cheerful, but in the end, she becomes driven- mostly because of her goals.  As the situation grows tighter, she might become more stressed and more curt, though... oh, and if you stare?  She has a mean right hand...

Appearance:  Kat has white skin, and stands about five-foot six inches tall, with long black hair and blue eyes.   Most of the time, she wears comfortable clothes- except when she's planning on dueling, and especially in tournaments- in which she wears her cafe uniform- complete with little paper hat with paw print on it.  (Think a blouse with skirt or slacks and sneakers as far as comfortable, and a waitress uniform with apron and little paper hat as far as her appearance- it's not meant to be that tight, but the "agent" her parents hired said it might make people more wanting to root for her (or they just wanted to show her off in tighter clothing- she doesn't take kindly to gawkers, though...)

Her own Duel Disk is a well-loved off-the-shelf model that's gotten a few small dings and scratches here and there, but still works just as well as the day she got it.

History:  The Whitehall family has owned the Cat's Paw Cafe for years, and it's been a neighborhood staple for the New Domino neighborhood it resides in for a while- but Kat wants more, better things for it- and herself.  It serves the usual cafe foods- burgers, fries, shakes, ramen, pretty much anything her parents can squeeze on the menu (Kat draws the line at pickled pigs' feet and the like, though).

Kat herself, though, wants more than just working at the cafe all day- she wants to actually go and make something of herself in the cooking world- and has her eyes and heart set on going to one of New Domino's famous cooking schools to learn how to be the best.

But cooking school- especially good cooking schools- are expensive; far more than what her parents can spare at the moment.  So she went back to an old hobby of hers- dueling- and decided she can do a couple of things at once- enter tournaments and try to become a famous duelist in order to get the money to get to school- not that she has much in the way of luck, usually.  But it also gives her the opportunity to advertise her parents' cafe...

Her deck reflects this- a mish-mash of food cards, supported with as much Madolche support as she could make work.  It reflects her past and her desired future- the cafe (with the junk food) and the high cuisine she wishes to learn (the fancy desserts the Madolche represent).
