Prince Sato Yotaro

A young man of the imperial bloodline. Lithe and exceedingly agile, you are 5'6" tall, handsome, with intense, flashing eyes the color of dark olives. Your mercurial wit and artistic sensitivity make you popular with the ladies of the Imperial Courts. Fortunately, your ready skill with the sword has saved you from outraged husbands and jilted lovers on many an occasion. To outward appearances, you are a callow youth too given to clever poetry and indulging your senses to be taken seriously. Mockingly, and behind your back, you are called the "pretty, homeless prince".

But there is much more to you than the willful dilettante you pretend to be. You are the first son of Sato Ohta, daimyo of Tsuke Province. Since childhood, you have been trained by the finest masters to be prepared for the title, the leadership of the family, and responsibility for ruling the province. But when you were in your early teens, you turned rebellious and disobedient. Outraged with your unruly behavior, your father appointed Lord Kenshin, his step brother, as high regent until such time as you proved mature enough for the duties of governing. Shortly thereafter, during a hunt on Lord Kenshin's sprawling estate, Sato Ohta died when his horse became spooked and threw him violently onto a path of stones. Lord Kenshin was immediately confirmed as Regent of Tsuke.

Then and now, you believe that Lord Kenshin somehow engineered the untimely death of your beloved father. Reckless youth that you were, you accused your uncle to his face, shaming him in front of his minions. Enraged, Lord Kenshin banished you forever from the province.

So, cast out, you have wandered from land to land, seeking followers and allies to your cause, your noble purpose concealed by a whimsical facade. You have been plotting and consolidating your resources for the day when you are ready to reclaim the powerful position that is rightfully yours by birth. Now your hour has come.
