Albert Tourne-Vent is an old man with disheveled white hairs and blue eyes. He is always wearing a long, brown coat on top of his usual clothes and his head is topped with a hat. He also always bring his cane with him. It is recognizable by the Kraken knob that sits on top of it.

Background: Albert grew up in France, in a small town lost in the middle of nowhere and surrounded with woodlands. One day when he was 10 and he was close to one of the forests, he saw a weird animal, one that was depicted in some stories used to frightened the children so they wouldn't venture in the woods. It was called the Beast of the Auxerrois and it was thought to be a large wolf roaming near the towns by the population.

But Albert was sure that this beast existed and he was sure he saw it. Naturally, nobody trusted him and his parents started to think he could be insane. Nobles of the town, they were quite wealthy and they used their influence to send him in a specialized school so he could receive a good education and the village could little by little forget the crazy child. It turned out that he was able to satisfy his passion by reading the many books that he could find in the large library of the manor. This time though, he kept it for himself and he studied hard to become a scientist.

Today, Albert Tourne-Vent has coined a term and calls himself a Cryptozoologist, one who studies cryptids, this animals whose existence has yet to be confirmed. He works at the University of Paris. He is a renowned scientist but not for the best reason. His research on what he calls crytpids has been denigrated by the scientific class. Nonetheless, there is one person who really trust him: his apprentice Nicolas who accompany him in all his travel around the world to find more cryptids.
