A fit, thin young man with piercing blue eyes, long, curly red hair, clear skin and a charming smile. He prefers to wear good quality clothes and a long gray cloak, and avoids jewelry or ostentation in his appearance. Sigurd relies on his wits and charm to get through life, although he has a tendency to get overconfident and sometimes acts foolishly.

Sigurd was born and raised in Djuprborg. His father was a freeman who worked mostly as a ship-builder but occasionally as a woodcutter. Not wanting to follow in his father's footseps (that would be too hard work), Sigurd got some basic education from a local skald. Due to his proficiency with acrobatics and mimicry, the local Thieves Guild recruited Sigurd and taught him in the Arts of the Thief.

After a few run-ins with the law, Sigurd finds himself not exactly welcome back in Djuprborg, at least for the time being. Now, he finds himself out in the wide world, with little beyond his wits to get him through.
