Relationships: Phillip's father Daniel is resentful of Phillip's greater promise and is functionally disinterested in anything having to do with his son.  His mother Karen dotes on her son, but is largely uninvolved in his actual life.

Phillip's grandmother Donna Tilly has singled him out among her descendants as the most promising and has decided to take a role as a stern mentor to Phillip whether he likes it or not.

When Phillip has to attend social functions that he isn't terribly interested in he passes the time with his second cousin Gwendolyn Lockless who tends to get dragged to a lot of the same things that he does.

Phillip dated Alice Miller very briefly in middle school and still has a soft spot for her. He also has a friendly (and flirtatious) rivalry for control of the student council with Margaret Wickey.

Description: Phillip is in excellent shape for his age, though nothing spectacular, due to his athletic pursuits. He keeps his blonde hair cut short and he uses some styling gel in the front to help it look cool, but not so much that he looks like a douche.  His appearance is almost always crisp and neat, even when dressed casually.  He favors a sort of preppy-lite aesthetic which is 3 parts J Crew and 1 part Abercrombie.  He has a small scar above his left eye from an old sports injury but it mostly just gives his face character.  He has blue eyes and has worn contacts since the age of 12 though he still has pair of glasses at home that he almost never wears.

Personality: Phillip is outgoing and charming but mostly in a superficial way, having tons of "friends" but few if any he could really confide in.  He is confident in his own abilities and very competitive, though mostly in a good natured way, and almost never backs down from a challenge.  Most recently this has resulted in him taking on more clubs and activities than is sensible, though he has been able to juggle all of it so far.

History: Phillip Tilly comes from one of Marchwood's oldest and most prestigious families with a long history of public service and political power.  While perhaps not as rich as Marchwood's other leading families they are very well respected.  The current matriarch of the family is his grandmother who has identified him as the member of the family best suited to carry on this tradition and is trying to groom him for the role.   He had always known something like that was in his future but had never really thought to much about it given that his father isn't terrible good at it and Phillip's own interests run more towards sports and acting.  It was hard enough trying to balance those pursuits before his grandmother took an interest in him and added to his plate but he found he rather likes student council so he figures he'll just try to balance it all somehow.
