Overall Appearance: A real mountain of a man, Augustus tends to be noticed quickly when one first enters a room. He is tall and very muscular with a build fit for a farmhand. His clean shaven head only makes his carefully cultivated mustasche more noticeable. Augustus looks a bit hard and rugged which can put some people off but he is quick to prove them wrong with a wide smile that can look a bit out of place on the large man. He seems confident and headstrong but not in an arrogant way. Augustus often dresses in beautiful, tailored tweed suits and with a long coat over when the weather demands it. Lately he has started carrying a pair of reading glasses for certain occasions and he wears a golden pocket watch. It is not uncommon to see Augustus with a cigar in the corner of his mouth.

Basic Personality: Confident and charming in a very big package, Augustus carries himself like the military man he very clearly is but with enough humility so it doesn't come of as arrogant. He is definitely an example of how you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Augustus is competetive and enjoys everything from a sparring duel with sabre's to a stimulating conversation, as long as he is having fun Augustus is pleased. Through all his confidence there is a hint of sadness in his eyes.

History: Born in 1814, Augustus was the 2nd child of his father Arthur and his mother Esmeralda. His father hade cultivated a large fortune through shares owned in several factories and businesses in Birmingham. His childhood was fairly ordinary for a young noble although he could sense that his father was more interested in his brother Thomas. This just motivated Augustus to perform better and better, and although his father was always proud of him it never satisfied Augustus. The young boy had a natural aptitude for fencing and fighting and when he hit his growth spurt this only became more evident. Several years later when Augustus was almost a man his father bought him a commission in the army where Augustus quickly made a name for himself in smaller operations, displaying tremendous skill and battle prowess. Because Augustus was so skilled in Abjuration magic he was extremely difficult to harm and enemies with magical capabilities were often rendered useless because of him. Eventually he was promoted to the rank of Major over the Grenadier Guards and served his final tour in the First Carlist War. He was awarded for his bravery and valor and returned home with medals and scars. Shortly after Augustus came home his brother Thomas died on a voyage at sea which made Augustus heir. He assumed all the expected duties as heir and did what he could to expand the power base of his family. During this tumultuous time he never took a wife given how busy he was, but now he's ready to settle down with a nice lady.
