Teranin Atek is a quiet, unassuming academic sort of fellow, intensely curious about anything to do with computers. He is extremely excited about the prospect of working with the Sphere's systems. Atek is of average height, but a bit on the overweight side despite his 5 kilometre daily run.

Before joining Starfleet, Lieutenant Atek was a distinguished researcher into computer systems and Artificial Intelligence systems. He has continued in that vein in the service, even though he is technically in Command Branch.
