Lt (jg) William 'Fast Billy' Xelox

As a boy Fast Billy was a boxer, trained by his beloved Grandpa. He also taught Billy "The traditional values of our culture" mainly breaking and entering and how to buy and sell things on the black market,as well as shooting and all the good stuff. Actual crime on Iotia had plummeted with the introduction of replicators and modern economy, but Grandpa was a traditionalist, and still hung out with his "boys".

Billy developed an interest in history and sociology, and this became his specialty. He went to Starfleet academy and graduated science officer and a sociologist, with a security secondary.

Lt(jg) Xelox has just arrived on the Sphere as part of LCdr Gaius Claucus' First Contact team.

Billy has a big brain and enjoys just slamming through all the information available to Federation people.

He likes Iotian Jazz music, from the 2360's to the 2280's, but thinks modern Iotian Jazz is off kilter. It's developing in ways he doesn't prefer.
He can play the piano a little, and practices to relax after a massive studying binge on this or that history or sociology, or this or that Starfleet update. He still jogs, works out and practices phaser to stay in shape.

Off duty he dresses Iotian casual, which is reminiscent of 1930's America.  He wears his hair short and slicked down, with a pencil mustache.
He is one of those people who is all energy and smart and who you want to kill when you meet them in person.
