Jackson Bondurant

Name: Jackson Nathaniel Bondurant

Nickname: Jackson

Age: 24

Birthplace: Baybridge

Sexuality: Straight

Play-By: Mark Wahlberg

Occupation: T.B.D.

Superhuman Ability: Regeneration
Strengths
-Jackson’s body regenerates itself at and incredibly fast rate, causing every wound (either internal or external or both) to disappear entirely in a mere couple seconds. The source of this possibly comes from the brain stem, but nothing conclusive has been discovered yet.

-Jackson’s blood also has temporary minor regenerative properties, which worried him at first given his employers, but the worry left him once he realized he could simply generate more, unceasingly, as needed.

Weaknesses
-If anything is lodged just right into the back of Jackson’s head or neck, Jackson is effectively dead, until that item is removed.

-If the brainstem is destroyed, then Jackson is destroyed.

Physical Description: Physically fit. Broad shoulders, strong arms, rosary tattoo around neck and down chest

Distinguishing Features: Chiseled face, knowing hazel eyes, and thick chestnut hair.

Personality Description:

Jackson grew up as a spoiled neglected rich kid who wreaked havoc on everyone around him that wasn’t an adult or some form of authority. Jackson’s father held an important job, and rarely had the time to spend with Jackson, and left his son’s care to the paid caretakers. Jackson simply couldn’t understand why his father gave so much time to everyone else, and not his son. All the way through high school Jackson manipulated, controlled, and inflicted as much pain to those around him, until he met a girl who somehow pierced through his pain. She genuinely loved Jackson, and somehow didn’t see him for the monster that everyone else did. This changed Jackson’s every thought about life, and love.

Then, after Jackson had left his father’s house, his father had decided to finally take interest in his son. Had Zoey not softened Jackson’s heart beforehand, Jackson would have ignored his father, and let him die alone. However, Jackson’s heart wasn’t as hard as before, and the two had a very deep conversation. After Jackson and his father were reconciled, his father came down with an illness, and passed away in his sleep. Jackson mourned, and promised to turn away from all his evil doings to honor his father. Jackson is now a man of gray. He acts in the interest of good, but willing to do evil to get it. He no longer believes in white and black, but only everything in the middle. He’s now loyal, brave, and honorable. Many who knew Jackson from his earlier years will probably always believe he’s up to something, but Jackson’s left the evil life he led before.

Characters History:
Jackson Nathaniel Bondurant was born to a very wealthy family, however their most prized treasure was stolen from them the night Jackson was born. Jackson’s mother, Penelope, died in childbirth. Nathaniel Bondurant, Jackson’s father, was heartbroken twofold. On the one hand he just met his firstborn son, who immediately meant the world to him, but also he lost the love of his life by his infant son’s unwitting hand. Nathaniel was angry, but not at his darling son. He was angry at himself for somehow allowing his soulmate to die.

Nathaniel knew there were some things normal men just couldn’t do, but Nathaniel was in charge of the massive Bondurant fortune, which was earned on a gold mine that was discovered on his land. With these embarrassingly large bank accounts, Nathaniel felt like he could have traded his entire fortune for his wife’s life. After all, none of it had any purpose without her.

Nathaniel then bought a fleet of childcare workers to take care of Jackson while Nathaniel poured himself into his work. Jackson’s first word was “Nanny,” but they told his father it was Daddy. Jackson desperately wanted his Father’s attention. There were times where Jackson thought he had the attention, but his father would be back to work after a brief half-hour or an hour. Jackson began to act out on his caretakers to get attention, but after so many times his father began to blame the caretakers, switching them out often. Jackson was surrounded by people, but felt so lonely.

Jackson’s acting out didn’t stop at the hired help. It spread to those around him whom he didn’t consider an authority figure. To the authority figures around him he always painted a fake smile on so they wouldn’t catch on to his dirty deeds. His fellow students grew to hate him, because they didn’t get the nice side. Into middle school Jackson wasn’t someone anyone wanted to be around if they had a say so. Into high school Jackson had started influencing those around him in different ways, including selling all manner of narcotics, and paying certain morally lax individuals to beat on those who even thought about speaking out about him. Jackson even had a local police officer in his pocket before too long, getting him and his cronies out of many situations.

Jackson didn’t do any of this for the money. He did it to infect the lives around him. If he knew pain, he wanted others to know it as well. He hated everyone and everything, until one day during a party he hosted at his house. He remembered seeing one pretty blonde isolate herself in tears. Jackson followed her, and comforted her in an effort to seduce her. The exchange they had piqued Jackson’s interest more than he thought. Her name was Zoey, and she was mentally quicker than Jackson had given her initial credit for.

As he got to know her, he found himself wanting more than just her trim body. He found her humor matched his, and her laugh irresistible. Her fiery temper kept Jackson on his toes, and she was just as smart as him. He felt an equal in her, but most of all he fell in love with the fact that she wasn’t scared of Jackson like everyone else. She didn’t know about Jackson’s dark dealings, and Jackson was determined to keep it that way. Especially his dark dealings with his potential new employer.

Jackson never suspected he’d ever work for anyone in a million years, but that was before someone approached him about power. Jackson had always craved power, seeing it as the only connecting trait between himself and his father, since his father was a state senator. The power this representative spoke of, though, wasn’t the political type of power his father had. This power was a more science-fiction-type. Jackson almost bid the man adieu until he was shown proof. Jackson was enthralled and immediately signed up. Training would be in a few months, just before his senior year of school.

The only catch was he wasn’t allowed to tell Zoey where he was going, or when. He would simply have to disappear, with only his father having a way to contact him. Had Zoey asked his father for Jackson’s contact number, that would be fine, but he couldn’t even have told Zoey that. So, as much as it pained Jackson to leave, eventually he did just that. Every day Jackson asked about Zoey, but after a year Jackson was told that Zoey had a new man in her life, and Jackson was destroyed. He poured himself into his new training, both for the job and his new… ability. It was quite ironic what his new ability was, considering how he felt inside.

During his training, the only contact he ever had was with his father. Jackson found it humorous that before training Zoey had been the only one that cared for him, and now it was his father. When Jackson returned from training his father apologized for not being his father until he was already a grown man, and Jackson apologized for never speaking up for himself. It was a deeply heartfelt conversation that by no means was diluted by the whiskey they shared. Finally, father and son were reconciled, and none too soon as Jackson’s father soon became ill and passed away.

Many attended the viewing, and the funeral. People his father worked with, or people his father had helped. Many wept, and mourned his passing. Jackson said a few words, and they buried his father with the rest of the Bondurant Family in the back of their property. Everyone told Jackson how much of a great man Nathaniel was, and how he was lucky to have him as a father. Jackson knew in his heart if they told him the same five years ago he’d have called them all liars, but now, seeing the mass attendance for his father’s funeral, he knew they were right.

But it was too late. Jackson didn’t know his father until just before the end. When everyone left Jackson spent weeks alone in a dark house, dousing his sorrows in scotch. He lost track of time, but eventually emerged with a new philosophy on life. Jackson was already nearing his mid-twenties. By this time his father was already in a political office helping people. Jackson knew he was hated by the people he grew up with, so he would have to benefit humanity quietly, and from the shadows with his new employers. He’d save the world, just like his father did, one life at a time.
