What The World Knows As far as anyone in the Dome knows. Zoey has been missing for six months, and a select few know she has been back a week. Soon, more will know she is back around. As for powers. Again, there are only a few people who know she has powers. For the moment, she is keeping the truth restricted to herself and those special people.

Superhuman Ability Pyrokinesis.

Is the ability to manipulate and control, shape fire. In Zoey's case, her power is about creating, and manipulation. She can create fire without a source, and manipulate outside sources of fire. She uses her hands to create fire, and control her abilities.

While in the beginning, she'll be able to mostly create small sources using her hands, eventually she'll be able to shoot fireballs or use fire as a shield.

Physical Description

Zoey is a beautiful young woman, standing a respectable five foot one, with a naturally curvy hourglass shape. Her body is slender, but not muscled. Despite her active lifestyle as a teenager, and to a point a woman, she has kept a softer, more feminine appearance. She has a light complexion, a dusting of freckles on her nose, and pale blue eyes that a shade or two lighter than her sons.

She keeps her thick blonde hair on the long side, and it is usually either kept loose and flowing or tossed back into a braid or ponytail. Her sense of style is extremely casual. Shorts. Tank tops. Grease stained pants or shirts. She can wear a skirt or dress, but when she doesn't she doesn't seem quite comfortable in her own skin, and before you know it, she'll be back into something that is a bit more her.

Distinguishing Features: Zoey has a smattering of freckles along her nose and cheekbones, often hard to see when her skin is nicely sun-kissed during the summer months. Her eyes are bright blue, and somehow always sparkling with just a hint of mischief. No matter how much she scrubs, there is aways a hint of grease or oil on her skin. A tribute to her mechanic lifestyle.

Personality Description

Sassy | Tomboyish | Opinionated | Loyal | Thrill-Seeking | Confident | Brave

Zoey has always been a tomboy, she's the tree climbing, get down and dirty in the mud, knows more about cars and engines than most boys her age kinda gal. She can swear with the best of them and can throw a mean right hook when pressed.

She's creative, an out of the box thinker, which has helped her in situations when things have gotten tricky. Confident Zoey is a sharp woman and confident in who she is today. This shows in how she speaks, how she presents herself and in just her presence. She is not some timid little wallflower.

Being a teen mom was not easy, but she's resilient and strong minded, she made it through and did it on her own terms. Maybe it's because of her mother's behavior when she was growing up, but she doesn't trust easily and is extremely protective of her family and her son especially.

She is pig-headed to the extreme. If she has a firm/strong/passionate opinion on something, she will not budge on that subject, she does not care. Nope. Zoey doesn’t like to reveal a lot about herself or a situation, especially if she thinks it could give someone the upper hand on her or someone she cares about. Sometimes this means, she’ll even hide things from those she is close too.

Sarcasm has its place, and most people use it in some shape or form. It tends to be her go-to response for most things, and sometimes that sarcastic response can touch on mean if she is in a sour enough mood, or feeling bullied, overwhelmed or interrogated.

Characters History

Zoey's family has never been rich, or the kind of people who live in fancy neighborhoods or have a lot of fancy things. But they've always been known for being hardworking and possessing a bit of a wild streak, something she seems to have inherited with abundance. Zoey's family on her father's side are a bunch of Southerners, born and raised in Georgia. That was where she was born, in the same house her father grew up in.

Her parents met by chance, her father and some friends had ended up in Baybridge by accident, and there was this sexy little blonde working at the local convenience store. They clicked, and that road trip was delayed as her father decided to get to know this local beauty. He ended up knocking her up and staying in Baybridge for a few weeks before convincing her to come down to Georgia.

Her parents were nineteen years old.

Her mom Julia was a small town girl with big city desires. She wanted the high life, and her father was a more humble man. Hard working. They lived in Georgia until Zoey was in nearing middle school aged and her sister Diana was in the third grade. They moved back to Baybridge because her mother's parents had died and left her the house and a good amount of money. It was supposed to be a short visit, but they ended up living there.

Zoey isn't quite clear on the how or the why. But her dad ended up opening up a garage, doing what he did best. Fixing cars, buying and restoring classics and then selling them again. Her dad made a good living for them, it wasn't always easy, and they weren't rolling in the money, but they had a home, food, and some extra to enjoy little trips back out to her dad's hometown, go to shows, and do family stuff.

Until her mother's spending starting to be less of a little annoyance, and more of a major burden. Champagne tastes on a beer budget is a fitting saying for her mother. Their disagreements, which were always present from the beginning, became less background noise in the relationship and turned into full out mini-wars between them. Explosions over everything from money to dish duty, to credit card bills piling up sky high.

When she was in high school, Zoey came home early one afternoon and ended up walking in on her mother screwing someone who most definitely was not her father. On the blasted dining room table no less. Needless to say, Zoey was in need of some serious eye bleach, and once her mother was decent and her company had left, Zoey and her mother got into it bad, there was screaming, and tears and accusations and a lot of honesty and repressed feelings.

Even some attempts at bribing.

Zoey told her father that night and forced her mother to confess. Her mother had begged her to do otherwise, but Zoey couldn't do that. Her father deserved more than a bunch of lies. Even if the truth would hurt. While it hurt, it wasn't much of a surprise when her mother packed her bags and left for the city the next day, nor was it a surprise when her father filed the divorce papers. The one good thing is both her parents seemed done with the fighting and back and forth, so things were settled relatively quickly, with Zoey choosing to remain with her father, and Diana leaving for a life in the big city.

A year later, Zoey got the wedding invitation for her mother and that guy.

She didn't attend.

Toward the end of her highschool career, Zoey met and had a fast paced relationship with someone who would end up changing her life in a very big way. He was different, a guy from the ritzy part of town, and he was kind of tormented and handsome and he made her feel alive. She was pretty sure it was love, no, pretty sure is wrong. She knew it was love, and real. Unfortunately, he left. One night out of the blue, he packed up and left town, without so much as a goodbye or explanation.

He ripped her heart to shreds with that act, and she was a hollow, shadow version of herself for a long time. Then the sickness came, and she was sick for an entire month before she went to get seen at the local clinic. When she got the results, her entire world shifted, because she didn't have some random cold or disease. She was pregnant. The mother to a child, whose father had skipped town.

There was a moment when she debated on keeping it or not. After all, she had been a kid herself and hadn't been ready to be anyone's parent. But when it came time to take that step, that do it now, or you won't be able to do it moment. She couldn't.

Over the months, she debated on finding him, trying to locate and at least tell him. Reach out to known friends and relatives. But each letter always ended up in the trash, each phone call was ended before the second ring. Then her son was born, and he was perfect and sweet and had the chubbiest little cheeks she had ever seen.

Once he was here, finding his father took a backseat to just trying to figure out how to be a mother, and on relying on her own father to help while she went to school. Zoey stayed in Baybridge until he was one year old, and then she decided she needed a fresh start, so she packed them up and moved to the city with her son.

He did get to meet his grandfather a few times, though the old man didn't outright ask. She was sure he knew. He was a shrewd old bastard.

Zoey didn't intend on returning, too many memories. But when her father had a heart attack, she found herself moving back permanently. Tye would be attending the school where she had and growing up in the same town she had, where his father had been. It was hard returning, and she still feels out of place some days.

She has taken to running the auto shop in his place most days, and she is quite a common sight, always tinkering and fixing something, or helping out a local resident with not just cars, but just about anything and everything.

Six Months Ago

She ran into him, and ended up having an encounter that left her with a bag of mixed feelings in her garage. He'd come to town, and she couldn't understand why. But the bigger issue was Tye.

Then shit hit the fan.

When things started going downhill, she and Ty were taken by some shady assholes - against her will - but no one keeps Zoey when she doesn't want to be kept, and she wasn't going to let these bastards touch her kid. Then those powers manifested, sparked to life by anger and passion.

She was gone for six months.

A week ago, she woke up on the side of the road, her son with her, both of them disheveled and dirty, with no memory of the last several months. Just vague impressions and flashes. Fire. Faceless men. Zoey feels like her brain has been turned into swiss cheese and she has no idea what happened while she was gone, and is desperately trying to figure out what has happened to Baybridge.

Her dad is dead, her home ransacked, her garage as well. What's left? She doesn't know, but she knows she is determined to figure out what the hell is going on. No real options, Z reached out to friends and people she knew and trusted for help.

She's been with Lou at The Odd Captain for the past week, helping her out and staying there while she and her son recovered, and figured out what was happening.
