Physical Description:  Jamie stands 6' 2" tall and weighs in at a lean 190 lbs.  When dressed he reads as slender, but he is extremely muscular.

His hair is sandy-brown, it is cut short, but still tends to look shaggy when not styled.  His eyes are a warm chocolate brown.

He is extremely careful of his professional appearance.  When on the job he is seldom seen without a jacket and tie.  His casual wear tends to be a bit less dressy, though still stylish.

Distinguishing Marks:  Jamie has a healed gunshot wound just above his right hip and a 5cm scar on his left forearm from defending himself against a knife-wielding perp.

Personality:  Calm and cool, Jamie is an alert and observant man.  He is friendly and fun-loving, though it occasionally takes him time to feel out a crowd of strangers.  His overall impression amongst people he doesn't know is a world-weary cynicism.

Jamie is extremely serious and devoted to his work.  Although he'd never admit to it, he sees himself as a knight in slightly tarnished armor protecting and serving from behind his golden shield.

Back Ground:  Born in Aberdeen, his mother and he moved to Brooklyn when he was two.  The move was prompted by his father's death in an industrial accident.

Initially, they lived with his mother's sister and her husband.  His uncle, and NYPD patrol officer introduced his mother to a friend of his, a Detective 3rd grade.  They were married within a year.

Inevitably, perhaps, Jamie grew up dreaming of being a police officer.  He graduated top of his class in both the NYPD Police Academy and Cadet program, and summa cum laude from St. John's University with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Criminalistics.

He has risen swiftly through the ranks and holds multiple commendations.



His application for the show was, for him, the result of a drunken dare.  It had been put together by the wives and girlfriend of his closest buddies.  They had been quite vocal about him needing to meet a nice girl and settle down.  The application had seemed like their last resort.

His initial response to being chosen was that a tropical vacation with an island full of hotties was just what he needed.  As the show grew nearer, though, he started thinking that maybe his friends were right.  Maybe it was time for him to settle down a little.

Likes:  Bloody Marias, scottish ales, attractive women.  He is extremely passionate about his job.  He is also a huge Star Trek fan.

Dislikes:  Criminals and bullies.  People who ignore those in need of help.

Also, he hates anchovies on pizza and strongly dislikes asparagus, broccoli, and brussel sprouts.

Strengths:  Extremely fit.  Expert Marksman.  Expert at self-defence.  Resilient, calm, confident.

Weaknesses:  Jamie is an extremely high-functioning alcoholic.  Extremely cautious about commitments, he frequently over-thinks his relationships.

Fears:  Failing at his job.  Becoming a lonely, friendless drunk.  Solitude.

Fun Facts: He cosplays as a Federation Security Officer at comics and science fiction conventions.
