Hair Color: Light ginger, blonde highlights ("Red Sand"), Some grey.
Hairstyle: Unruly, spiked. Sometimes bearded.
Eye Color: Left eye glare-squinted, hazel/brown and (if he opens it wider) a bit bloodshot; Right eye is terror-wide, permanently dilated (Anisocoria), and shocking-bright blue, like a husky.

Clothing: Cloth-armor that look like "regular" clothing. Carries string-bound duffel bag on his back, slung crossways over shoulder, containing a compact vacc suit. (He's never very far from it.)

Distinguishing features:

-Talks from the unhurt side. His smile looks more like a snarl. (So does his snarl, come to think of it.)
-Voice: Speaks low-pitched (like they do on Juarez). [Sounds like a younger Sam Elliott].

Persistent, high respiratory whistle, hence the name. (If he concentrates, he can NOT do it, but it takes a bit out of him.) It almost exactly sounds like the initial telltale of a decompression. (Almost all spacers would know this, and so does Whistler. It's part of why nobody will crew with him.)

-Features consistent with a survivor of explosive decompression damage:
-Anisocoria (see above). Lungs whistle when breathing normally (less when breathing shallowly). Right hand appears "older" than left hand (veiny, slightly withered). Line of tiny, blisterlike 'skin bubbles' on edges of eyes and mouth. Mottled, slightly marbled purple-blue patches on shoulders, upper chest and abdomen Tiny, scarlike skin-depressions on skin.

Tattoos: Small, faded green stick-and-poke style frog (left deltoid). Small,"Sailor Jerry"-style dolphin (left tricep). Small, recent-looking blackwork "caterpillar peeking out of its cocoon" design. (left bicep). List of initials (next to the cocoon.) Red checkmark (inside, left deltoid). "O+", fine professional work, (right collarbone, near neck.)

Shortest Bio: "Whistler" is the sole survivor of the explosive decompression of a merchant vessel. Unemployable as a so-called "jonah", Whistler makes what living he can around Port Juarez and the planet as a whole.
