History: Primarily the 10th during the last 4 years had been Garrison Duty.  A number of times though they had been enlisted in Raids on Marik Worlds where his training as a Paratrooper initially and later his HALO training meant he would be sent in behind lines as part of a team to disrupt supplies and communications before absconding with a local form of transport to retreat back to the exfil zone.  His unit was more Recon than Assault so actual firefights were limited and short since they neither had the equipment nor the mission to hold a location.

His nickname, Iceman, came from his comrades and it was both a rib and a compliment at the same time.  Stefan when in combat seemed to pause for an eternity multiple times when they were behind lines only to move into action a moment later.  The ribbing came from them thinking he took his sweet time thinking about an option cause he wasn't the quickest tool in the shed.  The compliment was that when it came down to it he did what needed to be done and left any of the emotional side to worry about till after they came back to base.</tt>
