Quinten Heart

Quentin Heart

Quinten Heart and his “Deck” a gang of street thugs he has cobbled together on the Island run ‘their’ part of town with the harsh efficiency you’d expect from his bloodline.  He even has assigned ranks in the Deck according to suit; clubs are the enforcers, diamonds his bag men, spades are reserved for those like Ilsa and CK he elevates to trusted positions… and of course there can be only one Heart.   A firm believer that you can get further with an iron fist and a firm word than you can with a kind one Heart runs things just as you’d expect:  there might not be much of value to fight over in this crappy town but there is always the most important thing: power and dominance.  He respects strength, even in his rivals; though it unfortunately almost guarantees a rivalry in most cases.

To that end the Deck has been in a series of escalating confrontations with another street gang, run by the child of Shan Yu; generally making life less pleasant for those younglings residing in the area.

Ilsa Stayne

Is a Heart without a Knave really a Heart at all?  Serving as Q’s right hand and trusted adviser Ilsa Stayne is the velvet glove that covers his iron fist.  Almost entirely adverse to violence in a way that is the polar opposite of her master she has been a permanent fixture in his entourage as long as anyone can remember.  And she’s the only one he generally tolerates interrupting him when the blood starts pumping.  Equipped with a sliver tongue and a charming smile, Ilsa is always ready to slide in a “what Q means to say,” or “put another way,” and is usually, grudgingly, given leave to do so.

CK

And just as every Heart needs a Knave; every deck needs a jester. That is probably the best description for CK though he is considered at the rank of spade within the Deck.  Unlike Ilsa who seems to serve a particular purpose in Quinn's court; CK's duties have always been a bit more...uncertain.  Being the progeny of the Cheshire Cat brought with it a certain unpredictability in the younger man's behavior and Quinn hasn't particularly been a good influence on him.  The conflict Quinn causes seems to be the cause of no end of amusement in CK who fades in and out of attendance somewhat on a whim.  Quinn doesn't seem to care as CK usually comes back with juicy bits of gossip whenever he reappears.
