Elliot Dawson

True Name: Ephramel
Human Alias: Elliot Dawson
Face/Model Claim: Dominic Cooper
Age: Ageless (true), 35 years old (appearance)
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Nationality: His vessel is American.
Hometown: His vessel is from Wilmington, North Carolina
Relatives: His vessel has none. Ephramel has several angelic siblings, having been created by God.

Job: Unemployed
Skills: In addition to his abilities, Ephramel has a massive level of empathy. When he is in his human vessel, he frequently feels the emotional pain of others and obtains sympathy pains for those in physical pain.
Weapon(s): None, currently.

Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 150 lbs
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Scars/Marks: His vessel has an appendectomy scar on his lower abdomen.

Appearance: The difference between his vessel's appearance before he inhabited the body and after is like night and day. Because Ephramel has entered the body of his vessel, the body has adjusted physically to suit his needs. Ephramel appears as beautiful as he can in his vessel, with vibrant skin and pigments within his hair color.

Race: Fallen Angel

Abilities: Per GM approval, Ephramel only has access to two of his abilities because of his history. As Ephramel's participation within the game and time changes goes on, he will periodically gain back more of his abilities as his soul heals.

(AVAILABLE) Touch Healing: Can heal others and even himself with a touch of his hand, but it will weaken him. Depending on the severity of the wound or affliction/disease that needs healing, it can weaken him from anywhere to a few minutes to the equivalent of a lycan's shift coma, where he enters into a deep sleep immediately after the healing is finished from which he cannot wake until his human vessel recovers.

(AVAILABLE) In His Name: Anyone who possesses the knowledge of his true name can pray to him at any time and he is compelled to answer them either telepathically or physically, no matter what he is doing at the time. The telepathy is not a two-way communication, and prayer from the individual must be maintained uninterrupted in order to communicate with him.

(UNAVAILABLE) Banishment: He has the ability to exorcise demons from the possessed by touch. This ability also works with vampires at repelling them. His own faith in God has no bearing on whether he can damage vampires or not, as he is knowledgeable of God's existence and is himself a muted version of a celestial being.

(UNAVAILABLE) Increased attributes and senses: He is on par with Lycans or Vampires in their areas of strengths and senses.

(UNAVAILABLE) Otherworldly Knowledge: He can sense whether someone is preternatural, however, because he isn't whole, he cannot tell what manner of creature that they are, just that they aren't human.

(UNAVAILABLE) Wings: He can call upon metaphysical wings to use for flight. The wings take on the general shape of wings but are not feathered. Instead, they have an appearance of celestial fire and light, though they cannot harm anyone unless he wills it so.

(UNAVAILABLE) Salvation: The power to retrieve, save, and restore souls from damnation.

(UNAVAILABLE) Divine Element Manipulation: The power to create, shape and manipulate holy elements that are highly effective against the supernatural, such as demons and/or angels.

(UNAVAILABLE) Teleportation: The power to teleport, or transfer matter (beings/objects, including themselves) or energy from one point to another without traversing the physical space between them.

(UNAVAILABLE) Non-Corporeal Form: Ephramel can transform into a being with a non-corporeal "body", made out of divine energy. To do this, he must leave his vessel to avoid damage done internally to the body, and may only leave his vessel for ten minutes before the body dies and he must find another.

(UNAVAILABLE) Death Sense: He is capable of sensing the coming of death, able to determine when someone is dead or dying or if others have died in a specific location. At times, this extends to seeing the names and lifespans of those faces he sees.

(UNAVAILABLE) Invisibility: He can render himself, even in his vessel, unseen by the naked eye and become invisible in the visible spectrum. He can move about an environment unseen by others and act without being observed. He may also select people who can see him while the rest do not.

(UNAVAILABLE) Holy Fire Manipulation: He can create, shape, and manipulate holy flames, which are especially effective against demons and other evil beings and are inextinguishable by normal means. It may also trap and/or immobilize angels or demons, rather than killing them outright. The color of the flames varies, but usually blue, white, or the normal shades of fire.

(UNAVAILABLE) Soul Reading: He can sense and read the souls of others, whether free (ie. dead, astral projection, etc) or in the body. By reading souls, he can see/feel the being's characteristics, personality, feelings, memories, whether they even have a soul, damage others' souls have endured, and whether or not another entity is possessing or influencing the person on a spiritual level.

Weaknesses: Currently only able to access two of his angelic abilities, of Touch Healing and In His Name, due to the damage to his soul and the open wound left behind not having yet healed. Aside from that, he has every weakness of his vessel as a human being.

Personality in Brief: Innocently arrogant, confident, charismatic in a no-nonsense way.

Any Other Notes: Does not speak in contractions, understands very little about human social interaction. Is very new at being human, so he is still very much in an adjustment period. Has recently taken up the bad habit of smoking while in the institution. He will not steal but often asks for donations of food or snacks from other patients at the mental health facility in order to have a stash of food ready to eat, as the pain of hunger is a pain that he cannot bear, believing it to be the worst pain he has ever experienced, because he cannot differentiate the pain of losing a part of his soul to the human pain he feels.

History: In the blink of an eye, Ephramel existed. Created by God to follow and praise him, Ephramel has done so since the beginning of time and his creation. Fighting the evil demonic forces was his duty to the Lord and Ephramel happily complied, praising his God and Father through his actions.

Several hundred years ago, Ephramel's duty changed and he was now required to assist the priests who prayed to God for help in removing unclean spirits from the bodies of man. For centuries, he assisted the priests, refusing to show himself per God's will and instead, staying within the metaphysical plane of existence as he banished a variety of demons from the human vessels in order to restore their lives. This wasn't always easy and Ephramel didn't always win. Sometimes, no matter how hard he fought, the demon would kill the human vessel on its way out. However, other times he was successful, banishing the demon back to Hell where it belonged with Lucifer, and Ephramel was able to restore the human life back to its former state. He did this with no expectation of praise, as the priest would obtain all the credit, and he aided the priests simply for the glory of fighting in His name.

But that all changed only two months ago.

During an exorcism, Ephramel encountered a soul stealing demon, one of the most powerful that he had ever encountered, and while Ephramel was no stranger to pain in battle, he encountered the most difficult pain of all during the exorcism. In addition to stealing the soul of the human vessel, the soul stealing demon dealt a devastating blow to Ephramel and tore a chunk of his soul out to take with it.

The soul stealing demon fled with the soul of the human vessel and in order to preserve the life of one of his Father's precious creations, Ephramel possessed the dying body of Elliot Dawson. For days he prayed long after the priest considered the exorcism a success. Ephramel tried to convince him of the truth, but the priest believed that the experience now left Elliot feeling confused and this was the way of his brain working out what had happened to him. Ephramel praised his Father's name, pleading for aid. He kept the faith that God would send another to take his place to preserve the body, so he could go out and hunt down the soul stealing demon. If he could get Elliot Dawson's soul back, as well as the piece of his own, all would be well.

However, much to his confusion, his prayers have gone unanswered. Having no concept of money or proper human interaction, Ephramel has gotten himself locked out of his apartment because of non-payment of rent. He's been beaten and battered by those he has offended, and over the last couple of months, he has been known as the town lunatic, as he has frequented some of the busiest tourist shops to stand outside of them and preach God's word, making him appear to be a radical religious zealot.

When his appearance began to go to the wayside and his body started to nourish itself from itself, his appearance grew gaunt and after several weeks of being a nuisance to the public, Adult Protective Services were called on him. It didn't take long at all to determine that he was certifiably insane, and his social worker had him committed to an inpatient mental health institution. For the last two weeks, he has lived in the institution and has gained ten pounds since he arrived because of his constant gluttonous need for sustenance. Being underweight, they've allowed him to indulge in healthful items in order to bring him up to an appropriate weight.

After his social worker had a death in his immediate family and was taking a leave of absence for bereavement, Elliot Dawson's case has been transferred to a new social worker who will assist him and look out for his care and betterment of his life.  Ephramel currently awaits his replacement for the human vessel, so he can make right what was done to Elliot Dawson and himself.
